Hereunder are the Generic Terms and Conditions applying to you (“the customer””the tenant”) and your rental in the charming guesthouse Côté Provence (“the owner”), located 544 Chemin du Pont de Bois, 84250 Le Thor – France and managed by the company so called SASU Côté Provence.
The French Code of Tourism and Code of country entrance and stay for foreigners have been modified by decree (n°2015-1002 of August 18th, 2015). It is since mandatory for all accommodations including B&Bs to ask foreigners for their full coordinates for potential police requests. So that we ask the reservation contractor to communicate to us personal informations when booking and IDs of all other residents at arrival. Your datas have to be kept for a minimum of 6 months after your stay.
According to the EU law for General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) (GDPR), the owner commits to not reveal to any third party (instead the Police, or Courts or French administrations) informations of whatever nature, on whatever media, brought by the tenant on the occasion of the execution of the reservation.
Côté Provence uses your coordinates for its communication towards you and only you. You have the right to ask for limiting the use of your data or for your data to be erased (after the 6 months period). This can be done by sending us a simple email at contact@coteprovence.com with acknowledgement of receipt .
The reservation becomes effective since the customer have sent to the owner a deposit and have agreed to our Generic Terms and Conditions.

Any cancellation must be notified by registered letter or e-mail with an acknowledgment of receipt sent to the owner.
A) Cancellation before the beginning of the stay:

C) In case of shortened stay, the costs corresponding to the total stay remains entirely acquired to the owner.
For Booking via an OTA : please refer to the conditions set with and by the corresponding OTA.
The owner reserves his right to cancel the customer’s stay up to 5 days before the start of the stay, without any damage being claimed. The customer will be immediately reimbursed for the sums already paid. Under no circumstances is the owner required to find another place for the customer to stay.
A) In the event of cancellation by the customer for mandatory quarantine due to COVID-19 (upon presentation of a medical certificate), the deposit will be fully refunded.
B) For health reasons (request from the public authorities, case of infection with the virus of one of the clients or of our staff, requiring a quarantine) the owner may be required at any time to reduce the capacity of his establishment, or even close it. The owner can then cancel the stay of the client, and he will inform him by email as soon as possible. The customer will be reimbursed immediately of the sums already paid but will not be able to claim any damage and interest.
In the event that the owner should end your stay to close the establishment, the customer will be reimbursed for the sums already paid in proportion to the time remaining to be stayed. The customer cannot claim any damage or interest. Under no circumstances is the owner required to find another place for the customer to stay.
C) In case of lockdown, border closures or traffic restrictions decreed by the French Government, before the start of the customer’s stay, the customer will be fully reimbursed for the deposit already paid. In the event of lockdown, border closures or traffic restrictions decreed by the French Government during customer’s stay, and which would cause the customer to leave the establishment, the customer will be reimbursed for the sums already paid in proportion to the time remaining to stay.
ATTENTION, we are talking here about measures taken by the French Government and not those that could be taken unilaterally by the States of origin of our customers without prior acceptance by the French Government.
D) In case of lockdown, border closures or traffic restrictions decreed by the State of origin of our customers (other than France then) :
The customer will be able to use his travel insurance contracted in his country of origin where he can invoke the “Force Majeure” clause to get his money back.
For 2022, our customers will be asked to present a complete vaccination Pass (not only a negativ test) on the date of the stay.

All payments have to be made in euros (€). Our prices are VAT inclusive.
Payments can be made by Credit Card (Visa / Mastercard / Maestro), by bank transfer (SWIFT), or in cash.
For security questions, we will never accept or ask you to send us directly by phone or email your Credit Card informations, but will use or propose you to use secured online payment systems (Stripe or Paypal, or the one of an OTA).
For Direct Booking, the balance of the rental is to be paid on the day of arrival.
Consumptions and additional services will be paid at the end of stay.
For Booking via an OTA, the balance is collected directly by the OTA.
They will be communicated to you on request, for bank transfer within the European Union (SEPA transfer, normally free of charge).
The customer arrives the first day of stay in between 16h and 19h (4pm and 7pm), unless the customer has previously and expressly agreed to another schedule with the owner.
In case of earlier arrival, the owner can refuse to accept the customer and ask him to come later, unless “Early Check In” service has been booked.
In case of unexpected late or deferred arrival, the customer has to prevent the owner before 16h (4pm). Without any notice of late or deferred arrival to the owner, the owner will consider it as a no-show and is allowed to re-rent the accommodation after 19h (7pm).
Please note that any request for early or late arrival may result in additional charges.
Please note that we now offer Early Check In as a Service (with additional price then). Early Check In Service must be asked when booking, by mail at resa@coteprovence.com and can be subjected to availibility.
The customer commits to return rooms and/or cottages in good condition and to signal to the owner any damage. Rooms and cottages must be vacated by 10:30am on day of departure.
Please note that we now offer Late Check Out as a Service (with additional price). Late Check Out Service must be asked when booking, by mail at resa@coteprovence.com and can be subjected to availibility.
Check In : The customer arrives the first day of stay in between 16h and 19h (4pm and 7pm). The owner can contact you before arrival to set a meeting time, to avoid concurrent arrivals. Arrivals before 16h00 / 4pm are not possible (unless the customer has previously and expressly agreed to another schedule with the owner).
Please note that your temperature can be taken before entering our Guesthouse. In case the client would have a temperature greater than or equal to 38°C, the owner may refuse the client to enter.
Check Out : B&B rooms must be vacated by 10:30am . Cottages must be vacated by 09 :30am.
A child under two years of age on the date of stay is considered a baby. Babies are our guests (free of charge) but must still be reported (at last by message when booking). Especially if you need a cot.
A child over the age of 14 on the date of stay counts as an adult.
Unfortunately our accommodation is not suitable for people with disabilities. Our rooms are all upstairs and if our guesthouses are full footing, they are not suitable for persons in a wheelchair.
The reservation is made for a specific number of people, adults and children. If the number of people on arrival exceeds the number of people declared, the owner is able to refuse additional customers. This refusal can in no case be considered as a modification or a termination of the reservation at the initiative of the owner.
We ask our customers to contract a Holiday Insurance for their stay. A Holiday Insurance is often associated with your Primary Home Insurance but you need to ask your insurer. This guarantee extends the protection of the main residence to a temporary home, for a weekend or vacation.
In times of uncertainty, we encourage you to contract a travel cancellation insurance, and to ensure it covers COVID-19 situations. Some credit cards also allow you to benefit from a travel insurance that can cover the cancellation, modification and interruption of your trip due to illness or accident.
The tenant can’t in no event of any right stay in places at the expiration of the period of rent initially contracted, except a new agreement is signed by the tenant and the owner.
The customer will have to respect the peaceful character of the house and associated garden and services, and make a usage of the places corresponding to their destination. He commits to become aware of and respect the rules of the Guesthouse.
All goods brought by the customer in the rooms remain under his responsibility. The customer agrees to lock the doors of the room, the B&B entrance door or the Cottages when he leaves. He may be held responsible for any deterioration or theft occurring in his absence while the doors have been left open.
The customer agrees to report to the owner any damage that have occurred during his stay. The owner reserves the right to charge the customer for any damage. Prior to the stay, the client will contract a Holiday Insurance (see Insurances).
The children from 0 to 99 years old are welcome ! The young children must be always accompanied by a relative and remain under their relatives responsibility wherever in the House, the park (please note there is a non secured river border) and the swimming pool (If the entrance to the pool is secured by barriers, the bathing is without surveillance).
Smoking is prohibited inside buildings, whether they are common or private. It is then forbidden to smoke inside the B&B House, your rooms or inside the cottages / Guesthouses. It is also forbidden to smoke in the swimming pool area, the Wellness area and the summer kitchen area.
Ashtrays are at disposal outside, near outdoor garden furnitures.
For reasons of hygiene and safety of our hosts, no pet is authorized. If a guest comes with an animal for check in, the owner can refuse the guest. This refusal cannot be considered as a modification or a break of the contract on the initiative of the owner.
If a guest introduces an animal without notice during his stay, he will be asked to leave the Guesthouse immediately. The costs corresponding to the total accommodation will remain entirely acquired to the owner.
If our Guest House has secure private parking, your car and its contents remain under your responsibility. If our Guest House has a bicycle cabin, your bicycle and its equipment remain under your responsibility.
For 2022, our customers will be asked to present a complete vaccination Pass (not only a negativ test) on the date of the stay.
If cleanliness has always been one of our priority, the context obliges us to redouble our efforts.
For the B&B rooms, we will observe a “block” day between each departure and each new arrival (There will be no arrival on the same day a room is released in the morning). This will give us the time to ventilate properly the rooms and for an intensive cleaning.
For the Guesthouses / cottages, we ask not only the Guests to return us the cottages «in a good state of cleanliness» but to a real cleaning at the end of your stay ; all necessary equipments will be made available. We’ll then do a second full cleaning.
B&B common areas, door handles, stair ramps, etc. will be regularly disinfected.
Signs reminding of the barrier gestures to be respected are posted in the House.
We will offer you the possibility to wash your hands in different House’s spots.
For 2022, our customers will be asked to present a complete vaccination Pass (not only a negativ test) on the date of the stay.
The customer undertakes not to go to Côté Provence if he has COVID-19 typical symptoms. Note that your body temperature can be tested when checking in.
The customer agrees not to go to Côté Provence if he has been tested positive and must follow a period of quarantine or isolation.
The customer agrees to not exercise any legal action against Côté Provence in case of Covid-19 contamination detected during or after his stay at Côté Provence.
For our B&B guests, breakfasts will be served outdoor in our Patio on individual tables separated from 1.5m at least. If the breakfasts are to be done indoor because of weather conditions, we will agree on a schedule so the distances can be respected indoor bu with several services. We are wearing the mask to provide service.
We do not plan from now to offer Table d’hôtes (a friendly dinner with meals shared by all customers around the same table ….) unless for a family group. We are looking at proposing “individual” dinner, but no guarantee. In any case, a Vaccination Pass will be asked.
The summer kitchen remains in service, but we ask our customers for special care before, during and after use:
If these few rules necessary to everyone’s safety are not respected, the summer kitchen will no longer be in service.
Pool area
It is mandatory to take off your shoes to access the pool area. Hydroalcoholic gel is available at the entrance to the swimming pool. Hand disinfection is mandatory before handling the door handles, even if they will be regularly disinfected. Sunbrellas with deckchairs will be set up 3 meters from each other, to keep social distance between families. Please avoid handling the deckchairs and parasols. You are asked to bring and use your own pool towels. The toilets located at the entrance to the swimming pool has been equipped with a sink for washing hands. An outdoor shower is also available at the Pool Area.
Outdoor games
We offer a large lot on which we have arranged different spots where to relax, far away one from another. You can enjoy those spots at your ease but please avoid moving the garden furniture.
For outdoor games, please come with your equipments : badminton rackets, ping pong rackets, and petanque balls ; equipments that you will bring back to your rooms after use. We will be able to provide you with equipments, but it will no longer be in self-serve access.
Access to the Wellness area will be authorized to 4 people maximum, from the same family circle. Access is by reservation only and with an additional cost.
